This is a fantastic year to have a new high efficiency furnace. After two mild winters we have finally got back to normal here. A lot of furnace operating hours of use means large PG & E bills. The customers that used the Energy Upgrade CA program with us this year are going to have smiles from ear to ear when they open their PG&E bill. Most are replacing their 60-65% furnaces with 96% plus multi stage systems. Summer will be a breeze also with their high efficiency A/C units that are part of the Energy Upgrade CA rebate package. Don’t forget we offer insulation services… Hope your having a great day!

Well we made it through our first heat wave of the summer. It was a very mild spring so it seems like everyone turned their AC on the same day. Normally we would have some short heat waves during the spring to prepare us but you never know with mother nature. Remember Energy Upgrade CA rebates are still available! Have a great day!

Hello there

It’s hard to believe that summer is coming. It has been such a cool spring. Looks like rain clouds almost everyday. We know here in the bay area that this overcast keeps us cool quite a bit during the warm months but when the overcast disappears and the sun pops out it will get hot quick, That is when we rely on our Air Conditioning systems to help us out. This is a great time to look at your filter and most importantly turn on your AC unit. You don’t want to wait until that first heatwave. We offer a special on our maintenance for your furnace and AC unit and remember that the PG&E rebates are still going. Energy Upgrade CA has been running the current program and it has some real savings out there for people that want to stop spending and start saving. It is...

Hello There, Ducting is a important but hidden part of your HVAC system. The air that heats or cools your home flows through these ducts that are either under your floor or in the attic in most cases. Ducts need to be cleaned like anything else but most homeowners find that if they are consistent with changing their filters duct cleaning becomes less effective. If you do not allow the dirt into the duct system in the first place and the air that is entering the system is being filtered properly you will not see the need to duct clean during the lifespan of the equipment. Some people have serious allergy concerns and we find that they are the ones that get the most out of duct cleaning. The person with “run of the mill” allergies just won’t notice the difference. Dust and dirt is in...

Hello There,

It seems like allergy season in the bay area is year round. I know it affects me and others suffer as well. Electronic air cleaners and air purifiers are very popular to handle this airborne pollen and dander that creates the problem. The electronic air cleaner has been around for a long time and people who have owned one will always remember that bug zapping noise they create and some notice the ozone smell they put out. Due to these issues the manufacturers created hybrid air purifiers that have a electronic air cleaner cell and also high efficiency box filter. These have no sound and no smell.

Air filtration is rated in MERV. The electronic air cleaners offer a MERV 12 and the Infinity air purifiers offer a MERV 15. This is in the range of what a Hepa...

It is that time of year. We are ready to turn the page to Summer. It was a very mild winter even more so than ever we are going to have varying degrees of debris accumulated on our furnace filters. For washable filters I recommend vacuuming the filter first to remove larger particles and then hosing it off for the final cleaning. Just water is all you need. For replaceable filters there is a large variety of filters out there. For the most part the more money you spend the better filter you get. Better filters filter out the smaller particles at a higher rate. Remember Energy Upgrade CA is doing rebates and as well as Carrier rebates are still going strong. Have a great day!
